Just like last year, 111 applications were received in the national school selection to the Creative Partnerships program arranged for the third time for 2013 – 2014 school year. On 12 June, up to 30 schools out of the 111 applicants will be invited to join the project.
Traditionally, during the selection process, information seminars organized for teachers in nine cities of Lithuania were beneficial – most applications came from schools, the representatives of which took part in the meetings.
More than a half of all applications received came from priority municipalities where there has not been any Creative Partnerships up until now – districts of Jonava, Mažeikiai, Šalčininkai, Šilutė and Varėna, Rietavas, Visaginas and other cities and villages of Lithuania.
The results of the third national selection of Creative Partnerships schools will be announced on 12 June.
In fall, the selected schools will start creative learning activities under the Enquiry Schools program. Here, creative practitioners will work together with teachers in one class or a small group of students.
This is already the third Creative Partnerships selection. 358 applications were submitted to the Creative Partnerships Lithuania programme during the three years. 93 educational institutions of Lithuania have been involved in the project activities over the two years up until now. After the selection of this year, the number of schools implementing the Creative Partnerships will exceed one hundred.
