In September 2012, in the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences the trainings – experience reflection - of teachers who participated in the Creative Partnerships programme in the previous school year were started. In September, these trainings are scheduled to take place in 9 regions of Lithuania.
The training program itself is made to be interactive and inspiring for the teachers firstly to realise and reflect on the importance of reflection in the learning process as well as to develop their reflection methods. The sessions encouraged the maximum involvement of participants, thus, a format of working in a group and general sharing in a circle was chosen. Teachers who gathered in the first trainings in Vilnius also discussed in what form the knowledge gained could be further applied in teaching practice and how to do that in planning and leading the lessons, also, how they could share their experiences with their colleagues.
Teachers taking part in the Creative Partnerships programme emphasized that in joint project activities with learners, creative agents and creative practitioners they learned to better arrange work in a team, to listen to each other, to not fear to make mistakes, to trust informal forms of communication with learners and their colleagues; for example, communication and discussions when sitting in a circle. All of them admitted they gained unique experience and knowledge on how to make learning interesting and engaging.
The main expectations named by those who participated in the trainings after the first year of project activities were to share their experiences and get new ideas from colleagues as well as to learn more specific creative learning methods.
